Red Shirt Dealer

ABOUT US

Hi! I'm Maui - Red Shirt Dealer, and I've been in the poker game for 15+ years. As a dealer and player, I've seen it all—from dog tracks to casinos, home games to card rooms.

I want to help you learn how to become a professional dealer by sharing what I've learned over my years in the industry. If you're just starting out, this course is an excellent way to get your feet wet and see what it's like on the other side of the table. You'll learn the basics of dealing, including the cards themselves, how to set up a table, what kinds of bets are allowed in different games (and which ones aren't), when to deal out new cards after each hand, and much more!

And if you're already an experienced dealer? Then this course will help fine-tune some of your skills and give you some tips on how not to make mistakes that can cost you your job—and maybe even more than that!

I hope you enjoy this course as much as I enjoyed creating it for you!

The American Gaming Association has revealed that casino labor shortages are currently the biggest concern of leaders throughout the US. The expansive gaming industry and skyrocketing customer demand are forcing operators to hire more employees than ever before.

The opportunity to make money has never been better. The game is continuing to grow, offering more career opportunities than ever before.

While dealers play an important role in the operation of a casino, they are not required to have any formal training. In fact, there are no formal qualifications written on stone for becoming a casino dealer – all you need is eye-sight good enough to distinguish between cards of different values and some manual dexterity.

Casinos do provide some form of training for their dealers before they take up their role, but many new employees pick things up by watching more experienced colleagues at work. It has also been shown that experience gained by handling chips helps dealers to deal with cards quicker.
